Eligibility of ASEAN Excellence Scholarships at University of Newcastle Australia
- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam are all eligible.
- Criteria for Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements in order to be considered:
- Hold a passport from one of the “ASEAN” countries that are eligible: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, or Vietnam.
- Start an appropriate undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program at the University.
- Be a full-fee paying international student.
- As stated in your Letter of Offer, you must begin a qualified program at an Australian or online campus.
How To Apply for ASEAN Excellence Scholarships at University of Newcastle Australia
- Students must apply to the university and be accepted. Financial assistance positions will be automatically provided to students who have been offered a place in an approved, non-quota program at the University of Newcastle and will begin their studies there.
- Documents to Support: Candidates must submit an academic transcript, a completion certificate, and a biometric page from their passport.
- Admission Standards: Applicants must meet the university’s entry requirements.
- Language Requirement: Students must meet all of the university’s language requirements.
Benefits
The stipend is worth AU$10,000 for each year of full-time study divided by the number of courses studied (pro-rata with an approved load reduction on programme plan, credits exemptions, progression, or wellbeing grounds).
