Computer Science and Electronic Engineering studentships| Uni of Essex are going to be offered. The School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) is pleased to announce 15 fully supported Ph.D. Studentships, which will cover home fees (£5,360 for 2021-22) as well as a stipend. Stipends will be based on the EPSRC’s regular rates (£15,609 for 2021-22). Studentships are for three years and will begin on April 25, 2022.
The graduate research community at our school is broad and vibrant. We provide a variety of specialty labs and equipment, as well as a dynamic and exciting atmosphere in which to do your PhD research.

The School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) has 4 Research Groups

  1. Artificial Intelligence School
  2. Brain Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering School
  3. Communications and Networks School
  4. Robotics and Embedded Systems School

The School’s research focuses on basic concerns in these fields, while applied research is conducted to develop technical and engineering solutions, techniques, algorithms, and frameworks to address current issues.

The School’s research is supported by world-class research facilities that offer the infrastructure and testbeds needed to conduct internationally competitive experimental research.

Details of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering studentships

Funding: A full Home fee waiver or equivalent fee discount for overseas students  (£5,360 for 2021-22) (further fee details – international students will need to pay the balance of their fees) plus a doctoral stipend equivalent to the standard EPSRC rates (£15,609 for 2021-22).

Application deadline: 28th September 2021.

Start date: April 2022.

Duration: 3 years (full time).

Location: Colchester.

Based in: School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.
