Macquarie University and The Dementia Research Centre (DRC) have teamed up with five pharmaceutical firms to create a one-of-a-kind HDR program in Australia. Amgen Australia, Janssen Australia, MSD Australia, and others are among these partners.
The Dementia Research Centre (DRC) Macquire University is providing a three-year Ph.D. stipend to research the physiological significance of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) expressed in the brain. This research will generate and analyze novel animal models of centrally expressed lncRNAs using the most recent CRISPR genome editing technologies in order to better understand the role of lncRNAs in health and illness. The Dementia Research Centre at Macquarie University has a comprehensive research program that gives sufficient possibilities to study and utilize cutting-edge technology to understand processes in brain functioning and disorders.

Eligibility for DRC Center Macquire University Ph.D. Scholarships
This award will be available to those eligible applicants who want to undertake a direct entry in a 3-year Ph.D. program.
- Australian citizen or hold a permanent resident.
- Completed a Master’s degree by Research in Biological/Medical Science and meet the requirements for admitting directly into Ph.D. at Macquarie University.
Benefits
- A Tuition Fee Offset and a Living Allowance Stipend are included in the award. The scholarship has a value of $28,597 each year and is for a period of three years.
