ÉTS School of Technology Montreal MS and Ph.D. Scholarships are going to be offered. A number of Ph.D./MSc jobs in energy-aware resource management in FaaS edge computing are available. ETS, Montreal, has a number of Ph.D./MSc jobs available. The goal of the research project is to provide novel mechanisms for energy-aware resource management in FaaS edge computing infrastructure, as well as a framework for runtime resource deployment and adaption to enable the delivery of server-less applications.  ÉTS School of Technology Montreal MS and Ph.D. Scholarships

The trainees will gain skills in resource optimization, FaaS edge computing infrastructure architecture, and energy optimization for computing and storage resources, among other things.

Eligibility of ÉTS School of Technology Montreal MS and Ph.D. Scholarships

An MSc or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics is required for this post. A background in networks, systems (e.g., Linux (CPU, Memory setup, and control for dynamic voltage and frequency scaling) and/or machine learning is required, as well as excellent English communication skills. We anticipate significant algorithmic work that can be implemented in actual systems (e.g., Omnet++, NS-3, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache OpenWhisk) that outperforms existing approaches.
