Eligibility of Fully-funded PhD Overseas Scholarships in Linguistics and English Language UK

• All nationalities are eligible to participate.
• Acceptable Subjects or Courses: Coursework for a Ph.D. in Linguistics and English Language
• Criteria that are acceptable: Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be considered:
• Successful applicants will have a UK 2:1 honors degree in a comparable discipline or its international equivalent. You should ideally additionally have or be pursuing a postgraduate master’s degree (or equivalent).

How To Apply for Fully-funded PhD Overseas Scholarships in Linguistics and English Language UK

• Applicants must first enroll in a Ph.D. program at the School in order to be considered for the opportunity. There is no need to submit a separate application for this opportunity. Your application will be considered automatically.
• All degree transcripts and certificates (along with certified translations if appropriate), a short research proposal (max 2 pages), a comprehensive CV, and research interests (max 2 pages), as well as two references, must be submitted.
• Students must examine the entry requirements of their selected program before applying for admission.
• If you did not receive your education in English, you will be required to demonstrate that you have a sufficient degree of English proficiency.

Benefits

The full-time tuition fee (UK/international level) is covered by the School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Language Sciences (PPLS) with an annual stipend of roughly £15,700 for three years (pro-rata for part-time students).
