Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Ph.D. Scholarships are going to be offered for competent students. In Moscow, Russia, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is a privatized graduate research institute. Skoltech was founded in 2011 in partnership with MIT to nurture a new generation of academics and entrepreneurs, expand scientific knowledge, and encourage creative technologies to address important challenges confronting Russia and the globe. Skoltech uses the greatest research and teaching techniques from Russia and throughout the world, with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. Skoltech’s approach is based on combining fundamental and practical research with teaching.
The Institute’s strong connections to the industrial and commercial ecosystem encourage frontier research and create a steady stream of creative solutions for the Russian economy’s benefit. Skoltech is home to nine Centers for Research, Education, and Innovation (CREIs), each of which is affiliated with one or more of the programs. Each CREI has a theme research goal that is carried out through a dispersed collaborative research program including Skoltech, foreign universities, and Russian institutions, and includes both physical and virtual components. Faculty, employees, and students at Skoltech conduct research in new physical laboratories under each CREI.
