Eligibility of Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) Ph.D. Positions

• Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
• The Ph.D. degree program in any of the university’s subjects.
• Applicants must fulfill the minimal requirements for admission to a Ph.D. program to be considered for the opportunity.
• You must have a primary Ph.D. stipend scholarship (for example, a Research Training Program (RTP) or comparable scholarship) or have an offer to hold one.

How To Apply for Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) Ph.D. Positions

• If you wish to be a part of this educational program, you need apply for admission to Macquarie University’s Ph.D. degree curriculum.
• After that, you must fill out an online application form with your official academic transcripts, a copy of your passport, a current Australian visa (for Permanent Residents or Humanitarian Visa holders), and a thorough CV (including all research output e.g. publications, journal papers, etc).
• Applicants must fulfill the academic entry criteria of the chosen program in order to be considered for admission.

Benefits of SQA Primary Scholarship:

• You must not be the recipient of any other principal Ph.D. stipend grant (such as a Research Training Program (RTP) or similar fellowship).
• The candidate must be a Ph.D. student who began or will begin your studies between July 2021 and June 2022. In the second part of 2022, international students may also begin. Students who began their studies in June 2021 or before are ineligible.

Benefits of SQA Supplementary Scholarship:

• The candidate must have a primary Ph.D. stipend scholarship (for example, a Research Training Program (RTP) or comparable scholarship) or have an offer to hold one.
• The value of your principal Ph.D. stipend as a scholarship shall not exceed AU$33,000 per year.
• Applicant must be a Ph.D. student who began or will begin your studies between July 2021 and June 2022. In the second part of 2022, international students may also begin. Students who began their studies in June 2021 or before are ineligible.

Benefits of SQA Supplementary Extension Scholarship:

• You must have a primary Ph.D. stipend scholarship (for example, a Research Training Program (RTP) or comparable scholarship) or have an offer to hold one.
• The duration of your major Ph.D. stipend fellowship must be shorter than four years (full-time equivalent).
• Your principal Ph.D. stipend may be worth more than AU$33,000 per year thanks to your scholarship.
• You must be a Ph.D. student who began or will begin your studies between July 2021 and June 2022. In the second part of 2022, international students may also begin. Current students who started in June 2021 or before may be considered at the applicant’s university’s discretion.
